This video was the opportunity of a lifetime. When asked if I wanted to fly in an F-16, I said "Yes please, and there are some things I'd like to study. Can we try supersonic flight at different altitudes?" I'm very grateful for this opportunity and would like to thank Flack and the rest of the US Air Force Thunderbirds. This flight took place on May 3rd, 2019. This Spatial Disorientation training is something all fighter pilots go through so they can understand how their own physiology works under these conditions. I'd wager most of us think we could take those Gs, until you actually feel it and get humbled. It's a testament to fighter pilot training and physical fitness. Anyone who can fly a fighter jet is a legit elite athlete. Mace said a couple weeks off makes it harder to take the Gs, that shows you how hard it is.

I will be honest. I am totally jealous of your experience. I spent 21.5 years in the Air Force and got to sit in a Thunderbird, once, but I never flew or pulled G's in one of them. That was totally cool! Even with you tapping out on the 9G turn, you did well and you got an experience that I would love to have experienced personally.

This is a good video regarding skill levels, humble interpretation of one's own skill levels (humble) and understanding of progression in skill. I think most people have either way over or under confident egos. I would say from evidence that I can pick up most things very quickly while recognising it's rare, I know people who are next level on me. On the same side there will be things you just suck at that you want to be good at more than the other things, and you pretty much just suck at it 🤣
